Information for reception children Sept 2020

Dear Parents/carers

We are delighted that you have chosen to send your child to Powell’s Primary School and we are really looking forward to beginning this exciting journey together in September.

Our website includes lots of information about our school. It explains about the organisation, the curriculum and everything that happens here. So please have a look to find out more.

As you are aware, we are facing challenging circumstances so we probably won’t be able to offer our normal transition arrangements. However, we will adapt these and do our very best to ensure we provide the necessary transition your child needs to ensure they are ready for school in September. Mrs Lavis, our deputy headteacher will shortly be in contact with you. She is going to set up ‘class dojo’ for all new parents. This is the platform we are currently using to remotely set the pupils work. It will enable us to share information with you. You will also be able to send messages through this so that you are able to ask any questions you might have. Further information and a request for consent from you will follow shortly.
