Topic Troves

This September, we were very excited to introduce a wonderful new resource – ‘Topic Troves’.

The ‘Troves’ are aptly named as they contain amazing book treasures. With books being at the heart of our curriculum, these ‘Troves’ will help introduce each topic and capture the children’s attention. At the start of each topic, the children will open the hampers together to reveal the topic and their ‘Class Reader’ – the first spark to ignite a passion for both the topic and related reading.

Each class will have their own beautiful hamper, full of high quality texts linked to their current topic. The ‘Topic Troves’ will then be displayed in the classroom and children can access the books and use them as a mini library for the duration of the topic. The hampers will then be refilled for each new and exciting topic.

We would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Friends of Powell’s who have helped to fund the Topic Troves. They are a beautiful resource that will be treasured and used for many years to come.
