Reading Ambassadors

We invited our Key Stage 2 pupils to apply for the role of Reading Ambassador. Our Reading Ambassadors will work alongside Mrs Pattemore and Mrs Lavis to champion reading across the school. Their duties will involve:

1. Fostering a love of reading throughout the school by sharing their favourite books with others and recommending novels to other children.
2. Leading whole school ‘story-time’ assemblies.
3. Carrying out evaluations of book corners in every classroom and provide feedback.
4. Assisting in the organising and running of Reading events such as: Books and Breakfast, World Book Day etc.
5. Reading stories to younger children at lunchtime.
