French Ambassadors
Meet the 2023 French Ambassadors
Our fantastic school French ambassadors meet regularly to organise and produce extra French activities for children at Powell’s to enjoy.
Some of their ideas have included:
- French number competitions – These are for children to try out at break and lunch times on the key stage 2 playground. The ambassadors explain the rules to children during Gold Book assembly, run the number games and also deliver the prizes to each of the class winners.
- Performing a French play during assembly – This term the ambassadors will be performing the play ‘Jacques Et Le Haricot Magique’ (Jack and the Beanstalk) for all the children in KS2 and then also in a KS1 assembly. They practise the play during their lunchtimes to make sure that they are word perfect!
- Leading French registration activities for the Y6 classes on ‘French Fridays’. This might include French greetings, numbers, the date – or even French phonic sounds.
You can spot the ambassadors when they are on duty by their Tricolore badges.
